Geir Sjøberg assumed the position as CEO of AKOFS Offshore in August 2014, where he has served in the position as SVP Operations in AKOFS since January 2013. Geir has experience from the oil and gas industry since 1988 and has held various technical and management positions for Transocean in Norway and internationally. He was General Manager and in charge of Transocean’s activities in Norway from 2002 to 2006 when he joined Aker Drilling. He served as President & CEO of Aker Drilling until the company was acquired by Transocean. Geir holds a Master degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, NTNU Trondheim.

Rune Askeland assumed the position as SVP Operations in October 2014. Rune has been holding the position as General Manager/Director of Operations in Transocean Norway since October 2011 and has experience from the oil and gas industry since 1983 where he has served in various technical and management positions primarily in Norway. He was Project Manager, Rig Manager and Operations Manager Asset for Transocean’s activities in Norway from 2000 to 2006 when he joined Aker Drilling. He served as Executive Vice President Operations in Aker Drilling until the company was acquired by Transocean. Rune holds a Master degree in Marine Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, NTNU Trondheim.

Iain Inglis joined AKOFS Offshore in August 2015. Prior to that he was Finance Manager for Transocean in Norway following the acquisition of Aker Drilling ASA in 2011. In Aker Drilling, he was employed as Financial Controller in 2007, taking over the CFO position from 2009. Before Aker Drilling, Iain has experience from various management positions within finance for Teekay Shipping, Iron Mountain and Transocean in the UK, Brasil and Norway. He is a member of the London based Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and holds an MA in Economics and Accounting from the University of Aberdeen.

Magne Nygård joined Aker Oilfield Serives as Senior Advisor for the Cat B project in January 2013, and moved into the position as Vice President Project & Technology in March 2013. He has a total of 19 years in the Aker Solutions systems, and has also had various management positions within DNV, and has had an “adjoint professor” position within Applied Mechanics at the University of Oslo. He holds a PhD from NTNU within Applied Mechanics, and has an MSc from University of California, Berkeley, within “Structural Engineering & Structural Mechanics”.

Feginn joined Aker Oilfield Services from the position as Vice President Group Risk Management in Aker Kværner ASA. He has 20 years experience from leading offshore and subsea technology companies including Coflexip Stena Offshore (Technip), Kværner and Aker Kværner. Prior to joining AKOFS Offshore, she had since October 2011 held the position as IT Manager for Transocean in Norway, following the aquisition of Aker Drilling where she held the position as IT & Administration Manager from 2006. Tove has 20 years experience from the oil and gas industry, primarily in a management position for IT services in recent years. Tove holds a BA degree in Business Administration and Marketing from California Lutheran University in California, USA.
