Geir Sjøberg assumed the position as CEO of AKOFS Offshore in August 2014 and held the position as SVP Operations in AKOFS from January 2013. Geir has experience from the oil and gas industry since 1988 and has held various positions for Transocean in Norway and internationally. He was General Manager and in charge of Transocean’s activities in Norway from 2002 to 2006 when he joined Aker Drilling. He served as President & CEO of Aker Drilling until the company was acquired by Transocean. Geir holds a Master in Petroleum Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, NTNU Trondheim.

Rune Askeland assumed the position as SVP Operations in October 2014. Rune held the position as General Manager/Director of Operations in Transocean Norway from October 2011 and has experience from the oil and gas industry since 1983. He was Project Manager, Rig Manager and Operations Manager Asset for Transocean’s activities in Norway from 2000 to 2006 when he joined Aker Drilling. He served as Executive Vice President Operations in Aker Drilling until the acquisition by Transocean. Rune holds a Master in Marine Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, NTNU Trondheim.

Fredrik N. Hunstad joined AKOFS Offshore as CFO in November 2019 from the position as Investment Manager at Akastor. Prior to joining Akastor in February 2015 he spent four years at SEB Investment Banking. During 2016-2019 he served on the board of directors of AKOFS Offshore. Fredrik holds a Master of Science in Finance from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH) in Bergen, Norway.

Magne Nygård joined Aker Oilfield Serives as Senior Advisor for the Cat B project in January 2013 and moved into the position as Vice President Project & Technology in March 2013. He has worked 19 years in the Aker Solutions systems. Magne had various management positions within DNV and has had an “adjoint professor” position within Applied Mechanics at the University of Oslo. He holds a PhD from NTNU within Applied Mechanics, and a MSc from University of California, Berkeley, within “Structural Engineering & Structural Mechanics”.

Claus Feginn joined Aker Oilfield Services from the position as Vice President Group Risk Management in Aker Kværner ASA. He has 20 years of experience from leading offshore and subsea technology companies including Coflexip Stena Offshore (Technip), Kværner and Aker Kværner. Claus holds an MSc in Civil Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology; NTNU, Trondheim.

Tove Muravez joined Aker Oilfield Services as Vice President IT Services in May 2014 and is also responsible for HR and Administration. Prior to joining AKOFS Offshore, she was IT & Administration Manager in Aker Drilling from 2006 and IT Manager for Transocean in Norway from 2011. Tove has 20 years of experience from the oil and gas industry, primarily within management in IT services. Tove holds a BA degree in Business Administration and Marketing from California Lutheran University in California.
